Hi, Roy! How’s your year been with everything going on? We know things have been incredibly turbulent, it’ll be nice to hear your take on everything.

Well, it hasn't been an easy situation to handle during these strange times in the world, needless to say. Especially for me living in America dealing with the sight of all of the innocent murders on black people without a conscience going on. Also, Covid 19 on top of that! We all just have to remain strong with each other and be as supportive as possible and not let one person's action stop the movement of love and unity for all mankind.

Getting back to the heart of our ethos. What’s in the pipeline musically for you in the coming months?

Well in the next few months I will be focusing on as much music as I can. I will be dropping a few projects, unreleased tracks and back catalog remixes here and there on my Creative Limited Label & Undaground Therapy Muzik Label.
I am also working on remixes for The Gospel House Choir of their new cover of Gabriel on Island Records.

Looking at your label Creative Limited Recordings. Do you accept new music?

Most definitely, I'm looking for demos for release all the time, I am looking for new music constantly and new talent.

I'm just looking for good vibes in any form of music, new disco, house, techno or whatever that may catch me and my partner Louie Green's ear. It's a more experimental label without limitations. UTM is a more Chicago House Classic styled label that is run by myself and Henry Moller geared to push more of that type of sound with wax on, with most of the releases in mind not just digital.

As many may already know, you’ve had an incredible career so far. What changes have you noticed in the industry in the last say 20 years. Are they positive or negatively affecting our scene?

As of today I see it as a positive, there's a lot more opportunities to get your music out there to your fans the way you would like to do it from an artist's point of view, without someone dictating your every decision which gets in the way of your creativity and vision.
That's from one side, but I also think from an up and coming artist point of view, it may be a little harder at times to get noticed because of the saturated market these days, so you need to really come with the heat to be noticed. I tell all of my younger guys and girls coming up just to keep dropping more music, as much as you can, because sooner or later, someone will gravitate to your vibes if it's solid, but at the end of the day it's just someone's opinion of your music. Whether it's good or bad it doesn't have to become your reality, just be yourself the important thing is to never stop growing and love what you do.
Finally, Tell us something a little off the cuff about yourself, that people may be surprised to know?

Okay, I will give you one short little something.

Well, when I was a young kid I was really into dirt bike riding a-lot and jumping hills and doing mad tricks everyday, until one day I hit a jump so hard I had a bad crash and split my lip open and had to get 10 to 12 stitches in my lip and 7 stitches above my eyebrow.
I ran into my house holding my lip together my mother looked at me and shook her head and said "I knew this was going to happen one day" ... so my dad took me to the hospital and got me all stitched up. The marks are still there if you look under my left nose, there you go!
One story I never told to the public. LOL!
